How do I fix "Page Not Found" errors in my data room

How do I fix "Page Not Found" errors in my data room - Orangedox Help Post

If your Orangedox data room suddenly displays a "Page Not Found" error and is no longer accessible, there are two common causes

1. The Source Folder has been Removed

The error can also occur if the Google Drive folder connected to your data room has been deleted, moved to trash, or is no longer accessible by the connected Google account.

If the source folder no longer exists, Orangedox cannot load the files required to display the data room, resulting in a "Page Not Found" error.

2. Your Google Drive Connection has been Disconnected

Orangedox relies on a secure Google OAuth connection to access files stored in your Google Drive account. If this connection is interrupted, Orangedox can no longer access the source files used by your data room.

This can happen if

  1. The Google OAuth token has expired
  2. The authorization token was revoked or removed
  3. Security settings on the connected Google account were changed

How to Reconnect your Google Drive Account

To restore access, you'll need to disconnect and reconnect Orangedox's access to your Google Drive.

Step 1: Log out of your Orangedox account

You can logout of your Orangedox account using this link.

Step 2: Open Your Google Drive Settings

  1. Visit https://drive.google.com/drive/settings
  2. Sign in with the Google account connected to Orangedox.
  3. Go to Managed Apps
  4. Locate Orangedox in the list of third-party apps and services.

Step 3: Remove Orangedox Access

  1. Click on Orangedox.
  2. Select Remove Access.
  3. Confirm that you want to remove the connection.

This removes the old authorization token and allows a new connection to be established.

Step 4: Reconnect Google Drive in Orangedox

  1. Sign in to Orangedox.
  2. Follow the prompts to reconnect your Google Drive account.

3. Approve the requested Google permissions.

Once the connection is re-established, Orangedox will receive a new authorization token and regain access to your Google Drive files.

Verify your Data Room

After reconnecting

  1. Open your data room.
  2. Preview the shared link.
  3. Confirm that data rooms or files are accessible and that the "Page Not Found" error no longer appears.

Still having Issues?

If reconnecting your Google Drive account does not resolve the problem, contact the Orangedox support team with:

  1. The email address connected to your Orangedox account
  2. The affected data room name
  3. A screenshot of the error message

Our team can help identify whether the issue is related to the Google Drive connection, file permissions, or another configuration issue.
