Download restrictions only work for files that support secure preview: PDFs (up to 50MB), Microsoft Office files (Word/PowerPoint up to 50MB), Google Workspace documents (up to 15MB), MP4 videos (up to 500MB), images (JPG, PNG, TIFF, GIF, BMP up to 500MB), MP3 audio files (up to 100MB), and over 30 text/code file formats (up to 30MB). Files exceeding these limits or unsupported formats will remain downloadable.
Yes, you can disable downloads and use Orangedox device-verification technology to prevent forwarding.
No. Unlike documents shared on Google Drive, Orangedox will never reveal who else you've shared your documents with.
No. Orangedox is intended for one-way sharing of content with your customers so you source files will always be protected from editing.
Unlimited. Orangedox doesn't store your documents; we pull them from Google Drive or Dropbox so you're only limited by your plan there.
Files that exceed the maximum size limits will not be available for download for Google Drive files, as they cannot be previewed in our secure viewer where as for Dropbox files they will be available for download.
