- Can I preview PDF files when shared using Orangedox?
- Orangedox lets your users preview files like, PDF's, Google Docs Sheets and Slides as well as video and audio files. The full list of files available for preview can be found here.
- What file types can have downloading disabled?
- Download restrictions only work for files that support secure preview: PDFs (up to 50MB), Microsoft Office files (Word/PowerPoint up to 50MB), Google Workspace documents (up to 15MB), MP4 videos (up to 500MB), images (JPG, PNG, TIFF, GIF, BMP up to 500MB), MP3 audio files (up to 100MB), and over 30 text/code file formats (up to 30MB). Files exceeding these limits or unsupported formats will not be available for download.
- What happens if a file exceeds the maximum size for preview?
- Files that exceed the maximum size limits will not be available for download for Google Drive files, as they cannot be previewed in our secure viewer where as for Dropbox files they will be available for download.
- Do Google Drive and Dropbox files have different restrictions?
- Google Drive files have a 500MB size limit for downloading, while Dropbox files have no size restrictions. However, any file that can't be previewed or exceeds size limits will not be available for downloads for Google Drive, where as for Dropbox even when preview is unavailable you are able to download the files regardless of your settings.
- What happens to files that can't be previewed online?
- Files that exceed size limits or aren't supported for preview are not available for download. This includes ZIP archives, executables, CAD files, and oversized documents except for Dropbox files.
- Can I add our branding to the data room for LPs / portfolio materials?
- Yes, professional branding, including adding your logo and color scheme, is supported. Giving your rooms a polished look and feel.
- How do I add my company logo to the document viewer?
- Select 'Branding' under settings, click 'Change' next to Logo, upload your logo file, crop as needed, and set the website link that users will visit when clicking your logo.
