How do I see who viewed my published links?

This guide shows you how to check your viewership metrics for your published links in Orangedox. You’ll learn how to check overall activity including viewership and summary engagement metrics for specific files.
View General Metrics
Open the Published Files app to see overall metrics.
High-level metrics give you a quick snapshot of activity across your published links, so you can see how your content is performing at a glance.
View Summary Metrics
You’ll be able to see the high level summary metrics for all of your active published links including
- Trend of active published links over the last 7 days vs. the previous 7 days
- Total previews and downloads across all published links

High Level Metrics
View metrics for a specific published link
Browse to the published link to view high level metrics, including
- Total number of file previews.
- Total number of file downloads.
- Total number of users who accessed the content.
This helps you understand at a glance how engaged your audience is with your published links.
Note: Published links with over 1000 views will display high-level metrics only.
View Page-by-Page Metrics
For supported file types, Orangedox provides page-by-page engagement insights, allowing you to understand exactly how your audience interacts with your content.
Access Page-by-Page Metrics
Open a specific published link and click into Viewership Metrics to access detailed engagement data.
What Metrics are Available
Page-by-page metrics give you a deeper insight into how your document, audio or video file is being consumed, including
- Time spent on each page
- Which pages were viewed or skipped
- Drop-off points where viewers stopped engaging
This helps you identify which sections of your document are most engaging and where viewers may be losing interest.
View lead capture metrics
For published links with lead capture enabled, you’ll see a list of email addresses for those who accessed your published content.
Select an email to view drill-down engagement details for that person, allowing you to qualify how engaged they were.
View detailed metrics for each person
Click the viewership metrics to see more detailed engagement information.
Depending on the file, this can include page-by-page engagement for documents, audio and video files, as well as other detailed activity data tied to previews and downloads.
Detailed metrics include
- Average page-view times (for documents)
- Average view time (for audio and video)
- Previews and downloads by date range
