How do I customize branding in Orangedox?

The Branding app allows you to customize the look and feel of your data rooms and shared documents, helping you present a more professional and consistent experience to recipients.

You can adjust visual elements such as logos, colors, layouts, and control additional features like bulk downloads and document hyperlinks.

What can be Customized?

Within the Branding app, you can control

1. Company logo displayed on the document viewer
2. Logo link URL users are redirected to when clicking the logo on your document viewer
3. Brand color which is used for the header and document viewer elements
4. Layout style Choosing table, grid, or list Layouts for the document viewer
5. File display size Choosing from large, medium, compact document list style
6. Thumbnail visibility Presenting image thumbnails at the top of the document viewer
7. Bulk download availability Enabled by choosing the table layout
8. Hyperlink support Allowing for hyperlinks to be clickable within your documents

All changes can be previewed before being applied.

Adding a Custom Logo

1. Select the Branding App

2. Upload your logo

Click Change and select your new logo image.

3. Set Logo Link

Add the Logo Link - this defines where users are redirected when clicking your logo in the document viewer.

4. Save Changes

Click Save to apply updates and will be instantly available on all your data rooms and shared files.

Change Layout

1. Choose a Layout Style

Select how documents and files are displayed in your viewer

1. Table - structured view with file details (required for bulk download)
2. Grid - visual thumbnail-based layout
3. List - compact, simplified view

3. Set File Display Size

Choose how large large the thumbnails are on your document viewer

1. Large
2. Medium
3. Compact

4. Toggle Image Thumbnails

Enable Image Thumbnails to be shown at the top of the document viewer.

5. Save Changes

Click Save to apply your layout updates, which will automatically apply to all your data rooms and shared files.

Choosing a Brand Color

1. Select your Brand Color

Use the color picker to choose your brand's primary color.

This color will be applied to your document viewer on

1. The page header
2. The font color for text

3. Save Changes

Click Save to apply your branding.

Request to Enable Hyperlinks

Hyperlinks inside documents are disabled by default to prevent platform abuse.

1. Submit a Request

In Branding, click Request to Enable Hyperlinks. Make sure to include a description on why you need this feature, this helps us prevent any platform abuse.2. Once Approved

Requests are reviewed within 48 hours (typically completed in 24 hours). Once approved hyperlinks will be automatically enabled for all your shared documents and data rooms.

To get the most out of branding in Orangedox

1. Use a high-resolution logo
2. A clear, properly sized logo improves trust and presentation.
3. Match your brand color
4. Use your official HEX color to maintain consistency with your website and pitch materials.
5. Choose layout based on your use case 
6. Enable image thumbnails
7. If you’re sharing a number of images make sure to enable image thumbnails to allow for easy browsing of images.
8. Use Table layout when downloads matter
9. If recipients need to download multiple files, ensure Table layout is selected.
