How do I remove a shared file?

This guide explains how to disable or permanently remove a shared file/package on Orangedox. Depending on your needs, you can either temporarily disable access while keeping your analytics, or fully delete the shared file and all associated data.
Disabling Shared Files
Disabling a shared file allows you to revoke access for all recipients without deleting the file or its tracking data.
To disable a shared file
- Open the Shared Files app
- Locate the shared file or package you want to disable
- Click the three dots next to the item
- Select Disable
Once disabled
- All recipient access is immediately revoked
- The shared file is no longer accessible via any existing links
- All analytics and activity data are preserved
This is useful if
- You want to temporarily restrict access
- A deal, sales process, or project has ended
- You may need to re-enable access later

Removing a shared file will permanently delete it, including all associated analytics and activity data.
