Introducing Multiple Branded Viewers for Data Rooms

TL;DR

1. You can now create more than one branded viewer. Each one has its own logo, website link, brand color, layout and image thumbnail setting.
2. Each data room can use a different brand. Pick a branded viewer in the Select Branding step when you create a data room.
3. You can switch a data room's brand at any time. Open the data room, go to its Branding tab and select another viewer.
4. A viewer preview shows what recipients will see. It sits beside the settings on the Branding page.
5. Custom branding is included on the Teams plans. It replaces Orangedox branding with your own.

In short: if you share documents for more than one company, client or brand, each data room can now carry the right logo and colors.

Starting today, you can create multiple branded viewers in Orangedox and choose which one each data room uses. Until now, one set of custom document branding applied to every data room and shared file in your account.

That works when you share for one company. If you run data rooms for several clients, funds or brands, each room can now carry the right logo, colors and layout.

What's New?

Multiple branded viewers

A branded viewer is the look recipients see when they open your data room: your logo, the website link behind it, your brand color, the layout (table, list or grid) and whether image thumbnails show. You can now save more than one and switch between them from the menu at the top of the Branding page.

A preview for every viewer

Select a viewer to edit its logo, website link, color and image thumbnails. The viewer preview beside the settings shows how recipients will see your data room, with the header in your brand color.

How It Works

1. Add a branded viewer

On the Branding page, open the menu at the top and click Add Branded Viewer. Upload a logo, add your website link, pick a brand color and choose a layout.

2. Pick it for a new data room

Choosing a branding is now one of the steps when you create a data room. The Select Branding step lists every branded viewer with its layout and color. Select one and click Next.

3. Change it on an existing data room

Open the data room, go to its Branding tab and select a different viewer.

Who It's For

1. Advisors and bankers running deals for several clients can brand each investment banking data room with that client's logo and colors.
2. Law firms can give each matter's legal data room the right look, whether that's the firm's brand or the client's.
3. Companies with more than one brand, fund or portfolio company can keep every data room on brand for its audience.

A Few Things to Note

1. Custom branding is included on the Team plans.
2. Branded viewers are chosen per data room, not per shared file.
3. If you've already set up your own branding, it carries over as your first branded viewer.
4. Branded viewers use the look from our fresh new look update: your brand color shows in a muted tone in the viewer header and when recipients hover over a file or folder.
