How to make your Data Room easily navigable by utilizing Orangedox shortcuts

A well-organized data room is essential for efficiency, but navigating through countless folders and files can be time-consuming & a hassle. The solution? Smart shortcuts. By creating intuitive links to frequently accessed documents & structuring your folders logically, you can streamline access to your documents. In this post, we’ll walk you through the simple yet effective method of interlinking your documents to make your data room easily navigable.

Create a Data Room

Open the data room document you want to link to

Within your Orangedox data room simply navigate to the document you want to link to and copy the entire url. Not only can you use this url as a link in other documents within the room but you can also send this link to investors who have access to the data room.

Embed the link into your documents

Add inter document links to any document that you have in your data room. 

Enable Hyperlinks in the ‘Branding’ app

Once everything is set up, simply go to your Branding within Orangedox & select enable links. Specify that you want to provide document interlinking, we typically approve requests within 24 hours.

(Optional) Create a Navigation Document

To help investors navigate through your data room you can optionally create a navigation document that will be placed at the top of your data room. You can then link all your critical data room folders right from the table of contents of the document.

This is easily done by moving all of the data room content in a sub-folder while having your ‘Navigation Document’ stay in the main folder. Best practice is to have it presented alongside your pitch deck or make it the first page of the pitch deck.
